December already!

Wow! What an amazing term it has been! Apologies first for not blogging sooner but I’m sure you all understand- due to the change in classes and the fantastic refurbishment of the classroom!

We have finally settled in to our new classroom and the displays are reflecting the learning journey we have been on this half-term in particular.

In English we are enjoying our second book of Year 6, ‘If You Can Find This’ by Matthew Baker – we have carried out lots of activities to immerse ourselves into the story and we can not wait to read the final chapters before the end of term. We have been developing our understanding of fractions in maths and doing regular arithmetic challenges in order to build up our speed and stamina in this area.  We have been studying evolution in Science and our topic lessons are now focusing on Viking Art in order to improve our sketching skills.

This week’s learning hero is Tayler for her resilience, reciprocity, and resourcefulness in science and art – a great role model for others!

We would also like to invite parents in for a Christmas Craft afternoon on Friday 15th December from 1.30pm.

Plus we look forward to seeing many of you at the Christmas Fair on the 8th, 3.30pm-5.30pm!
